Our story

Steeped in history, still the local

The Auld House Inn is a country pub and restaurant in the heart of Moneyreagh. The building has been here since 1806, and the welcome is still the point: warm, traditional, and looked after properly.

People come for Sunday lunch in Moneyreagh, for a meal through the week, and for the function room when the day matters. That includes birthdays and weddings, and, because Roselawn is four minutes away, funeral receptions handled quietly.

The house is at 27 Church Road, Moneyreagh, Newtownards, BT23 6BB. It is about fifteen minutes from Belfast, and a short drive from Carryduff, Dundonald, Comber, Saintfield and Ballygowan. Parking is on site.

The lunch and evening menus run from January 2026. If you have a food intolerance, tell your server when you arrive.

The rooms

A dining room, a bar, and space for a crowd

Downstairs is the day-to-day house: booths, the bar, and a dining room with the fire. Upstairs and through the private entrance is the function room, set up so a family or a business can arrive without coming through the main bar.
